State BA, the State WBA, or both. If they Join both, mark on the application “BOTH” and it will cost an extra $1.00, or $21.00 total. This is so you can bowl in the appropriate State Tournament. Regardless of which way you go, it doesn’t affect the National Tournaments or our local tournaments.

ANY CHECKS MADE OUT FOR SANCTION CARDS SHOULD BE MADE OUT TO:

GREELEY USBC BOWLING Association / GBA  ……. Not ABC, NOT USBC, NOT CLASSIC LANES, NOT HIGHLAND PARK.

SHORT CHECKS/returned Credit Card charges WILL BE CHARGED $25.00 Processing fee, be sure and tell this to your bowlers that write checks for sanction cards. Also, there is a place on the sanction card that your bowlers can pay by credit card, it is on the back of the sanction application.

If you have an ADULT  bowler that paid their dues in another Association (Loveland, Ft Collins) they must  pay  $9.00 for our local association dues. For a YOUTH Bowler the local Dues are $3.25. Bowlers must pay, or provide proof of the required dues before the completion of the bowlers first series. This rule (USBC RULE 101a) also applies to substitutes and any late joiners to the league. Sanction cards are good for the period of August 1st through July 31st.

USBC Sanction application. Every USBC bowler in your league is required to fill out an application card, including those joining late, subs , and even those that have filled one out for another league.  This is for my record keeping for averages and awards. Please make sure they are legible. If you have a hard time reading it, I most likely will not be able to make sense of it.

…..if a bowler bowls one game that that counts toward a teams win or loss total: THEY MUST HAVE AN USBC CARD.

This year, like last year, the bowlers card will be sent in the mail to them. PLEASE MAKE SURE AND TELL THE BOWLERS TO HAVE THE CORRECT MAILING ADDRESS ON THEIR APPLICATION.

League Delegate: Each league is entitled to one league delegate,  who is an USBC member, to represent the league at the annual GBA meeting. The meeting is normally the 3rd Friday night in April. The league secretary will receive a letter with the time and date of the meeting, anyone that is a USBC member can attend, the league secretary should let the league members know of the time and place when they receive the letter.

AWARDS:

Some of the awards are changing this year. For a 100 pins over average game the WATCH is discontinued and a patch is taking its place. For 298 and 299 games, they will fall into the 11 strikes in a row category, the bowlers will no longer get a choice of a ring, watch or plaque, it will be a plaque for a 298 & 299 games.

USBC awards (300, 299, 298, 11 strikes in a row  & 800 series), ONE application for these awards are in your “LEAGUE OPERATIONS HANDBOOK”. There are also many options for the bowler to choose from, pictures of these are in your “LEAGUE OPERATIONS HANDBOOK”. If you need more than one, copies of this application can be obtained by asking at the front desk at the bowling center. Please fill out and get to me.

One form for all other USBC awards (700 series, 140 pins over average, triplicate, etc) are included in your “LEAGUE OPERATIONS HANDBOOK”. If you run out, the front desk of the bowling centers will have more blanks. These awards can be sent to me by putting them in the GBA awards box at the bowling center, send by regular mail, or you can e-mail me the information.

For the leagues/secretaries that have league software, I will take the printout that will show the awards earned by the bowlers, you do not have to fill out the form in the league handbook. This includes the Highland Park leagues that are on the BLS software. JUST REMEMBER, the software does not catch the following awards: 7-10 split pickup, Big 4 split pickup, all spare game, dutch 200 and 11 strikes in a row.

80 pins over average game award. This a local award is for Greeley USBC members that bowl 80 or more pins over their average for one game. Send in this award every time the bowler accomplishes this, even though there is a limit of one award per league. Use the Bowlers current average of 21 or more games, if they haven’t  bowled 21 or more games, use last years average. Put the completed form in the GBA award box at each center, or give to me or send to:
